1935 Half Dollar
Walking Liberties were minted from 1916 to 1947. The coin is named after its representation of Liberty on the obverse. Walking Liberty half dollars are the second most popular silver coins turned out by the U.S. Mint. (Morgan Silver Dollars are undoubtedly number one). The Walking Liberty coin depicts Lady Liberty with an American flag draped around her body, walking towards a sun with rays; the reverse features an eagle perched on a rock. These coins featured a design by Adolph Weinman.
