This black pouring vessel is decorated with geometric and laurel leaf patterns in white, yellow and red.  Vases painted using this technique are called gnathian ware. The name gnathian originates from the site of Ignazia where the style may have come from. The style is characterized by black- glazed sufaces with polychrome decoration in red, white, and yellow. There are two molded heads at either side of the spout.
