Bronze Fortuna/Tyche

Fortuna was personified as the goddess of luck, happy fate, and good fortune. In this statue the goddess is holding a rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left. The rudder signified that she guides the destiny of the world; the cornucopia, that she was the provider of abundance. She was known as Tyche to the Greeks and was worshipped extensively throughout the Roman Empire.
